.                 1946 Curtis Wright. model 2. Only produced for one year. Curtis Wright was one of the leading pioneers of the trailer industry. With the later founder of Airstreams the great Wally Byam had worked with Curtis Wright designing and producing the model 2. Later splitting ways soon after. Wally Byam then had begun well establishing Airstreams. In essence the 1946 Curtis Wright Model 2 is an Airstream descendant.

 

                    Being 73 years old, the trailer was in very poor condition and not taken care of which lead us to a complete rebuild restoration. The trailer chassis was rebuilt. A new 5,000lbs axle with brakes New wheels, white wasp tires and a spare. Built in leveling jacks. All new framing and beautiful birch wood interior. A more open floor plan, making a 14ft trailer feel extremely spacious! New Styrofoam poly insulation. New electrical, 110v and 12v. Battery charges being plugged in to shore power or while hooked up to your tow vehicle. Hidden Bluetooth stereo system with speakers inside and hidden outside. A hidden AC unit. A wet bath, shower and toilet was installed. Black tank for the toilet. Hot water, 21gal fresh tank, city water pressure connection. New propane space saving 2 burner stove top with cover. New refrigerator with a retro look. Decent sized sink. Upholstery is high quality of foam and batting for amazing comfort. Covered in a high end marine vinyl fabric, each cover with a zipper. Marmolium flooring, laminate countertops. Table is specially designed to go up and down with a turn handle. Sleeps up to 3 people. A tan and white striped custom awning is included. The exterior is polished aluminum. Original steel windows have been restored new glass, seals, screens and hardware installed. This trailer is built above and beyond todays standards in the trailer manufacturing. This trailer is ready to go camping for another 73 plus years!
